Programmer / Developer
Are you passionate about programming and about the internet? Are you interested in developing in the technologies and environments that marketing people call "Web 2.0?" Want to work with a wide variety of clients, from small non-profits to big corporations?

Do you love open source languages and tools? Want to develop with other people who value good clean code, using the right tool for the job, and giving back to the open source community?

Here's the list. If you're solid with all of these, you've got the skills we need on day one: PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, XHTML, Linux/Unix. You should know something about PEAR, OOP, SVN and MVC. If you know Drupal, CodeIgniter, or Ruby on Rails, all the better. The rest, you'll learn.

User Experience Lead
This person will drive complex web development projects, from discovery through post-launch assessment, coordinating with developers, designers, clients, vendors and partners. Personal / Professional Requirements:

  • 3+ years professional experience with interactive, transactional, data-driven web projects
  • Professional experience in user interface design / user experience design
  • Formal training in design, information science, communications, or related area
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with clients, programmers, and designers

Solid skills in:

  • Understanding and decomposing complex web applications
  • Needs assessment, requirements gathering
  • Information architecture, sitemapping, wireframing
  • Usability testing
  • Documentation, presentation

Additional experience in the following is helpful:

  • Marketing & communications
  • SEO/SEM
  • Success metrics

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in one or both of the following areas:

  • HTML/CSS standards-compliant design
  • Formal project management experience
